| Hello! For those of you who may not know me, I am Nikki, I am 24 and own two very gorgeous rescue staffords. Rocco is a Dogs Trust dog, he is 3, stands 15.5" and 15.7kg. He is my little agility star and is in the Rescue Dogs Agility team. Dixie is 5 years old and from sbtrescue. Initionally she came to us as a foster - but who couldn't fall in love with this face... Dixie is DA and I have worked VERY had with her and she now mixes with most dogs. Look forward to chatting to you all. x | |

I have had Dixie almost 21 months now (how the time has flown by) it is still a work in progress, but she is 100% better than what she was. I started off by just getting her to sit next to me with other dogs walking past (at a distance) and rewarding her when she ignored them. I then slowly reduced the distance, so we got closer and closer to the moving dogs, again she would be sitting next to me and when she ignored, she was rewarded. When she first saw a dog, she would go very stiff and puff herself out, tail high and stiff and she would fixate on the dog. Now her body language is much more relaxed, tail low, no body stiffness etc. On the odd occasion - she does puff herself up, but I think that is down to the individual dog giving off the wrong kind of signals etc. My biggest achievment was getting her to intergrate with my dads three dogs, Taff, Holly & Buzz - it was always going to be a challenge as they are all collie / collie x's and black! But after a few visits (bit hard to do it reguarly as they live in Dorset now) but this is what I achieved...My proudest moment yet... My fav one of the lot... x | |

| Well done nikki what brilliant pictures they are - so nice to see them all together - kasha hates any black dogs - expecially rotties - he was attacked by one as a pup and has never forgotten so if i see one in the street ive got to hold on tight as madam joins in too - not really sure what i can do to break this - milly is the same with akitas as she was attacked by one last year - i do try and distract them and praise them but they spot either of these dogs from so far away its better i walk the other way lol | |

| I did a lot of 1-2-1 with Dixie as I found if I had Rocco with me, she was worse and felt like she had to go into protect mode.
Maybe you could try working with one of them first, then the other - and then try walking them together again?
