LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - DEA and local law enforcement were forced to defend themselves Tuesday afternoon during a drug bust in central Lubbock.
Lubbock Police were called to assist DEA and DPS troopers in the 2000 block of 58th Street, near Atkins Middle School. When they arrived, police say officers were threatened by a pit bull, and were forced to shoot it. Lubbock Animal Services arrived a short time later, and put the dog down.
