| Hi, my name is Amy. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/unknown breed(s) cross. Her name is Candy. She's 5 times heavier than a purebreed Staffy. But she's not enoromus. She's a little bit taller. I have no idea it could be a larger breed in her. I'm.... thinking it could be a Mastiff, Rottweiler, or Boxer. Now she's 8 years old. I wanted to tell you a story. When she was a pup, my mother found her wandering alone in the alley by her best friend's. She asked anybody who had seen or known this pup. But nobody did. So, she brought her home with our family. I picked a name for her, "Candy". My old neighbor reconigezed her then he said he has a friend who has Candy's mother. A friend said her mother is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I was an idiot that I forgot to ask him about Candy's father. I think it could be a "backyard breed". Anyway, he said she was given to a woman but she didn't seem care at all. She was with her mate, Spike ( a male Akita/Australian Shep. cross ). Spike was put him down in July because he had cancer. He was 10 years old. I'm sure she missed him pretty much. But I'm getting more toys and toys for her to keep busy from being lonely. She had a terrible dirrehea when she was a pup because she have a sensitive stomach and worms. EEK. In late June, she had a mass growth in her spleen. She had to remove her spleen from a surgery. She's doing wonderful now. BUT after her surgery, I noticed her right eye looks different. My vet. thought it was infection. None of medications can help her. She was sent to an eye specialist in another town. The eye specialist said she has a Horner's Syndrome. It means a nerve pulled to a brain by a few reasons. I'm not sure what caused her. I'm going to see my vet. on October 27 to see what'd he say. I know it's a long story. DO you have any questions? | |

| Heh, thanks. It was my mother brought her home with us. Then we fell love with her. I was lucky because Spike was a male Akita cross because you know, a male Akita won't able to get along with another male mate. I will try to post her pictures soon. I got to go now. See you later. | |

| yipee! Thank you! Sorry, I really don't know how to do by myself. It seems complicated. So... what do you think of her? Those are old pictures. She lost some weight since her spleen surgery. Also, her right eye looks different now. It seems smaller and so little pupil than her another pupil. It's NOT infection or painful! Also, it's droopy; those are Horner's Syndrome. | |

| Thank you! You can tell me what's your opinion on her likes any breed(s) cross that you'd take a guess. I met a few Pit Bulls but they are little slim than Candy. Also, I met an American Bulldog once - wow, he's so huge than Candy! Anyway, Candy is afraid of thunder and firework, she goes behind the chair or the sofa in the living room. | |

| Candy had an appointment today for talking about her eye with Horner's Syndrome. She had to take her blood work and physical x-rays. I did research on Horner's Syndrome. It may caused by infection, tumor, inner ear infection and a brain injury. That's why my vet wanted to find out what caused from Horner's Syndrome. But the x-rays might not look good.... He said it's something look very dark between the lungs. He doesn't know and he wants to send it to a special radiology to look at. Candy took her urine sample but, it's very dark brown!! My vet haven't say anything. Can you tell me what it is? I'm a little bit anxious to waiting for her result and x-rays. | |
