| i think the dogs at Crufts do not enjoy the atmosphere, its so cramp, poor dogs stuck in crates for hours and hours on end. I probably will switch on TV if theres nothing else on though. | |

| i thought that before i went, but the dogs we saw seemed very happy, there were hardly any in crates and the ones that were-were snoozing for the most part and didnt seem to mind! the dogs that were in pens with their owners representing their breeds were lapping the attention up from the likes of me! and being taken to stretch their legs and for a wee every so often, im sure there must have been some that didnt enjoy it, but the ones i saw did seem pretty happy with being there.
i do however back what was being said this year about the ridiculous breeding of some dogs that is creating hereditry disease etc etc, crazy, i dont blame people for being upset by all that, i missed the BBC programme about it but my mum saw it and said its a disgrace, certain dogs that have won at crufts...that have since gone on to develop very nasty illnesses...brought into the breed by the bedding. madness, something needs doing about that.

| wow, just watched it, thanks. what a load of idiots there are breeding dogs out there, i had no idea brothers and sisters were being mated and father and daughter is considered ok too? omg. the german shepherd was a disgrace, wobbly back legs and shuffling along, and of course all the cavalier spaniels, absolute madness allowing sick dogs to represent what is best of the breed!! ive heard about the destruction of ridgeless ridgebacks etc etc, and white boxers so that wasnt a surprise to me, absolute crazyness again...but the bit that got me in tears was the boxer having seizures. and especially his low cry that he did afterwards with his owner laid on him trying to keep him safe...heartbreaking.
sorry...i know im like half a year behind,,,,rant over x

| Would rather donate the money i would spend there to rescue. most dogs ive seen dont look happy when in the ring,,trotting up and down, how does that show anybody what the dogs made of etc..not for me. | |
